A DNS (domain name system) is a decentralized system that responds to queries about the names of online domains – it interprets addresses on the Internet. Suppose you’re visiting safekiddo.com on your favorite browser. The first thing your browser does is to contact a DNS server and ask “What’s the IP address for safekiddo.com?” The server begins working on this query and sends the answer to your computer. Next your browser communicates with the address provided, after which your browser can read the website safekiddo.com.
When you link your device to the SafeKiddoDNS servers, it will receive addresses from this source, and block sites that appear on the blacklist.
